The 2014 candidates weren't celebrity candidates. They were oddball candidates. Here we had two celebrity candidates who screwed the pooch. That makes the case even more that this will happen again, because oddball means you're just ideologically in sync with the party. If you're oddball and celebrity, there's even more reason not to learn the lesson. The challenge for Democrats is to decide whether to run, you know, I think the lesson of the 2022 is run like the devil, wherever and work your butt off.
