Is the Gender Paradigm Too Coherent?
Gender as only a social construct and gender identity as this innate, unchangeable, immutable essence that might actually be at odds with socialization. I think there's a big contradiction between the concept of innate sexual orientation and gender identity. There is some conflict within the kind of LGBT community on this point,. Because now, maleness and femaleness are now linked primarily to one's self-concept, right? And not to the body.
