i believe great education is about learning how to think. It's not being told a set of skills, or how to acquire those skills and encourage expertise in a particular area. And most american colleges have said, that's not what we do. I think there's a chance to revive these areas right when people read the eliot the odyss - even though they're probably not literally true.
