Physic Forces - Is That a Weird Property?

When i think of a force, it's like pushing and pulling. And so the reason the strong force exist is because quarks have this weird property that you can rotate their color in an arbitrary way different points in space. The gluon fields are there to compensate. That's why they exist. So then i guet to physic force as something totally different that most people think about it. It turns out we've been looking at this all the wrong way.
