Why Wasn't Judith in the Hebrew Bible?
Most of the books that he removed are ones that he didn't believe were original to the Hebrew Bible. So it really pushes us back to another question is why wasn't Judith in the Hebrew Bible? If Martin Luther had known about the Dead Sea Scrolls, Tobit would still be in our Bibles today. There's some research and some scholars who believe that kind of a patriarchal influence could be why a story like Judith wasn't prioritized to be part of scripture.
