How to Fix a Bug That Depends on Conditionals
Google had changed the location of one of the places that they internally dump logs to. Fluent D would try to load up all those things and rewrite them, assuming network failures are transient. And if it's the same set, it'll dump more and more and more. When we were able to flag this, point this to them, say, Fluent D changed,. here's what it's trying to send to, it happened to these times. Then finally, they said, oh, you're right. I guess it is our problem after all, we'll get out.
