The Joy of Reconciliation
For thousands of years there were daily sacrifices that happened at the temple. But now Hebrews 7 says this unlike the other high priest talking about Jesus, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day for his own sins and then the sins of the people. This says that Jesus he sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. And why would he do that? The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12 for the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scouring its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. That's the entire point. Relyation literally means the restoration of friendly relations. We've been made right with God through Jesus
