The Relationship Between Existential Value and Meditative Value

There are many midlife crises and people have problems with the past. I would say two big ideas that I found really fruitful involve distinctions that philosophy can draw that we can apply to as it were audit our own lives think about what's going on in our own lives so one is the distinction between what I call ameliorative and existential value whereAmeliorative value is the value of solving a problem or meeting a need that really ideally you wouldn't face but since you do it really matters to address it. Existential value is the kind of value that makes life worth living in the first place.
