Kaminsky lost his father and grandmother just two years apart. Growing up he was fascinated by American culture, especially the films of the seventies. The movies allowed him to 'live american life' for about two hours a day. But they were also seen as decadence with no freedom in terms of expressing yourself. His personal life paid a price but he continues to tay.
