The Importance of Reforming the NHS
I think people understand the reform message, but they get nervous about how labor is going to fund the reform. The figures for the past decade, everything else in public spending has been on the ration to keep up support for the health. But demand has still gone up. So the point is I think people hearing this is not just the NHS either. Across services, I think it's really clear that we do need more investment in them. That needs to come alongside reform. We absolutely need both.
