Dogs can be separated in different rooms of the house just for a little bit so they have time to settle down those cortisol levels. Just make sure you're providing for that dog's quality of life because again, when we're managing things, we often reduce the dog's exposure to enrichment and exercise. So it does take a little extra work, but it's almost always the better option.
