I wouldn't worry so much about the predictive power, but i think questions really interesting in terms of, does a flat or curfel caus resession? And it probably contributes. If your basic business is barrwing long, and you say, well, what can i do where you want to when a borrow long on lend short,. You can't really do much if the curve is flat. So that intermediation function doesn't work for you well. And i think that takes away a lot of profit.
