The Different Social Classes of England in Victorian Times

Before the 19th century, England's social structure was based in agriculture and land ownership. What you'd have is a landed social hierarchy that's sort of almost like a feudal social structure. The middle classes became increasingly powerful after 1832 reform. And we start to see the influence of the nobility fade away over time.
