The paper by amatives asks, how much the energy transition will cost under certain assumptions about their growth? And we ask which assumptions are realistic. It took us quite a bit of time to come to terms with the fact that the growth of renewables is not expedential,. either in individual countries or in the world as a whole. But it's an interesting contrast with the paper by mat ives at alwich, which did try to look at growth curves.
