The Name Falling From the Face

Names end up being so crucial in this book. The idea of the name falling from the face seems to be that action, which kind of, you know, de particularizes, dehumanizes them and that then Victor is trying to kind of work against. Does it matter that we don't know who the witnesses are, who is giving this testimony? I mean, following from Tim saying that the names have been stripped both on the side of the victims and on the sides of certainly the perpetrators and on the sideof the witnesses. And presumably some of these people are witnesses.
