The Disappointment of Working Your Butt Off
It's a bit of a letdown when you've spent so much time on something and then either it's buried or the audience doesn't relate to it. I feel that way about Kundun. It was one of the best experiences of our life, for my life. Sometimes things just don't work as well. And sometimes there's, you know, lightning in a bottle where it does work. Like a photograph, a photograph goes up on the wall and it becomes like the Mona Lisa. You find when you're shooting, you kind of go, Oh, wait a minute, Greg, that's, that's too pretty.
