Are Human Fetuses Morally Protected?

i imagine, to some extent, this decision is a motivated by the belief that foetuses do have a moral status. And by virtue of their decision, they're actually making that position true. It's almost like a bizarre self fulfilling prophecy on their part. One spectre that's hanging over those of us who live in the united states is this fear that ultimately, in a future supreme court case, not this one, might decide that human fetuses are constitutionally protected and tat. I just want to point out, like, also, the supreme court is deciding that certain things will have moral status because it's a foreseeable effect of their actions.
