Are There Any Good Facts About Fungi in the Gut?

There's a lot of interest in the micro biom, which are all the bugs that live in the human gut. But mercifully, almost none of the mushrooms and toodstools cause infectious disease. We know that having a healthy microbiom is protective from pathagins entering the gut and causing problems. And it may well be that the fungi in the gut have a positivecontribution to make there in defending ourselves against a organism would otherwise do us us harm. There's not so many examples that the fungus has a very effect on humans but i would say, never say never.
