God Save King Solomon
In verse 33 35, the king also said, unto them, hes called his servants and his advisers around. Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause solomon, my son, to ride upon mine own mule. And i have appointed him to be ruler over israel up north and over judah here in the south. The blood drains from their faces as they realize we're the ones that are going to look like traitors. They haven't been faithful to the king. So yes, he had reason to fear because solomon had done something that gave him reason to fear. This is the ancient equivalent of running on the horns of the altar. I'm safe here
