The Importance of Standardization in the Quran

The first time the Quran was collected, there was a fear from Amr al-Hapal that too many of those who memorized the Quran would be killed. The second time is in the Khilaf of Erishman, or the Allahu anhu for the exact opposite reason: We need to have the standardized version of it and that be the official Musah upon the harf of Quraysh. When Erishmani Uli'Allah, Ta'ala Anhu was under siege, as we know that he was, Zayd ibn Uli’Allah, Anhu tried to speak to the people of Medina to not participate in his murder.
