How to Be More Efficient With Learning
Cognitive load theory has been used to explain how interventions that optimize or limit learning based on our mental bandwidth. This research finds that problem solving may be counterproductive for beginners. Novices do better when shown worked examples instead. Redundant information can actually impede learning. Complex ideas can be learned more easily when presented first in parts. Success is the best teacher, we learn more from success than failure.
