The Search for Identity in Manchester
Lem's first experience of food from people of colour was a wis from jamaica, and dumplings as well. Eating foods that were from black people made him feel like i was learning about cultures that i was related to. Discovering this different culture in manchester was part of his search for identity. Lem continued to write: "I wanted to tell people about these isms"
