Jack Ma crossed a red line that the communist party laid out in the late 19 nineties, when they allowed private companies to get big. And so i don't think this was about the company. I think it was about reminding wealthy interpraters that they have to listen to the government on not challenge the government's issues. It's the same kind of debate we're having here about amazon and google and facebook, except they acted. Now, in fact, the fines and things like that weren't all that big. They weren't threatening to the companies. But now i think they have signalled that the worst of the regulatory crackdown is over and things are going to stabilize now.
