He should stop thinking that he's ever going to bring Boris Johnson round. He may as well make the only arguments he can make, which is that he resigned on Boris Johnson and stood up to him. And it gives him some call to then make that argument an election. I think a lot of people will have a problem with it; they'll have a problem landing that argument but it is genuine.
