The Importance of Young's Music
Lamont Young is considered the father of minimalism. He's also been called by Brian Eno, the Daddy of Us All. There are four recordings on his bandcamp,. plus a handful of recordings of his older published pieces and very little else. Some recordings apparently exist, but they don't seem to circulate. They'd be fascinating to hear as almost the entire band were non-musician artists like Warhol or Jasper Johns.
