How to Set a Lifestyle to Concentrate Deeply
There's two general categories of training that are both important. The first is activities that actively stretch your ability to concentrate. One example would be what I call productive meditation. If you do this every day for four or five weeks, you'll be amazed by how much better you're able to drown out the traffic in your head and keep your attention focused on one thing. And then there's a second category which is more about cognitive fitness. You need to break your brain's addiction to novel stimuli. To try to break this connection at the slightest hint of boredom, you pull out a phone or you pulled out a computer screen to quickly assuage that boredom.
