How to Be Skillful With a Bougie
Using a bougie for every intubation is a good start. Hyperangulated blades provide a superior view of the glottis by creeping around the tongue instead of having to displace the tongue. But it is far, far more difficult to deliver the tube when using a hyperangulated blade than a standard geometry Macintosh style blade.
