The Relationship Between the United States and Saudi Arabia
The United States crafted an arrangement with Saudi Arabia in the 70s where they would only sell their oil to any country in US dollars. That means if you're Saudi Arabia and you're selling your oil to Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan needs to pay for it with US dollars. So that arrangement works for a while. Work great for us. A lot of people made a lot of money on it, especially the Bush family and these, these Rockefellers and the likes. But times have changed.
