The Growth of the Attention Economy
The attention economy is what everybody is looking for, even if they're seeking to capitalize on it in slightly different ways. It seems to me that there were not many moments as people were looking at this attention economy where journalists or maybe scolds stopped and said, hey, is this focus on attention coming at the expense of truth? I do think that certainly could have more pressure and clearer pressure on everyone to pander to an audience.
