ASML - What's New in the Semiconductor Industry?
ASML is the only company that makes ultra extreme ultraviolet lithography machines. China represents 16% of its business, which has been drawing down all semiconductor stocks. The US government imposed new rules on semi-conductor industry last week to prevent companies from selling high-tech semiconductor or tools to Chinese company. But during their Q3 release just today, management said that it does not appear that the new rules will affect the equipment shipped by ASML because almost all of the equipment that shipped from ASML to China are DUV systems.
