Do You Think the New Testament Writers Were Deceived?
The new testament writers were all jews, except for luke. They didn't think a man could claim to be god and would rise the dead in the middle of time. So even if he went to his death thinking it was true, doesn't mean it really was, because he may have been deceived. This is unlike anything from joseph smith. It's unlike anything from islam. The moslem martyrs don't have evidence that they witnessed that shows them that islam is true. They haven't witnessed anything. They just have faith that isam is true, and they will sacrifice themselves for that. But we don't see body recanting from the ancient world
