BS 172 "The Brain from the Inside Out" with György Buzsáki
Brain Science with Ginger Campbell, MD: Neuroscience for Everyone
Busaki's Theory of Learning
Busaki proposes that learning is matching a pre-existing brain pattern with an outside world event. Since the patterns already exist, the system is not perturbed and it is therefore more stable. This inside-out approach leads to Busaki's rather startling claim that nothing is new to the brain. It also has implications for plasticity, which is not uniformly distributed.
