If you can get yourself into your body by doing some form of physical activity, drop into 10 or 15 push-ups. That physical activity will often be enough to pull you back to center and then the self-sabotage goes away. There's actually a psychological principle for applying this activity, they call it implementation intentions. If X happens, then Y, I will engage in Y is the strategy.
