Many of our users out there might not be 100% clear on what role an ORM plays in their stack. Could you give maybe a one on one and then maybe a little bit more introduction into what Prisma does that makes it an excellent ORM? So first off, what is an ORM? Why should people care about them? Absolutely. And as a backend developer I now have three different ways basically or three different abstraction levels for how to work with the data in my relational database. To be fair I don't think I actually know many teams that actually do this because SQL is a pretty complex tool.
In this supper club episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk with Nikolas Burk from Prisma about the role an ORM plays in a tech stack, how Prisma has changed over the years, ways to query data in Prisma, and how migrations work with Prisma.
