On July 20th, the feds said they were leaving portland. The next day that was something of a lie. In august, there were still hundreds of additional federal agents from customs and borders patrol,. And multiple law enforcement sources told o p b that they expected additional federal forces to remain in the city up and through the general election. With a d h s official saying to o p b, my guess is the protest climate isn't going to change much between now and the election.
