The site of the unfinished task attracts the free man as powerfully as the overseer's whip stimulates the slave. If we didn't have other people, our lives would be completely meaningless. We need to define what constitutes an accomplishment through a social enterprise. Having that winning the esteem of other people is one of the things that gets us moving.
