The Risk of Pneumonia in the Elderly Population

Parenchymalic effusions are plural effusions that develop next to a pneumonia. Whatever is going to put a patient at risk for pneumonia is also putting them at risk of parenchymals potentially. The biggest imaging modalities we talk about are chest X-ray, ultrasound, and CT. For me, ultrasound is really gold standard.
