There are so many just demographic differences between Israel Palestine and other settler colonies. I think that provides a lot of important explanatory value for the differences. But these periods of time that seem so different to us are very much overlapping in terms of the development of legal doctrine. So there's clearly ways in which we must mark the differences in the governing rationales and logics like I mentioned neoliberalism as an example.
