How Can We Control How Fruitful Our Lives Are?

If we focus on what we can control, god gets to decide all the rest. The way that i'm wired mentally and intellectually gets in the way of my prayer. I think a healthy, maturing follower of jesus a has a few of these practices at work in their life all the time.
