Do Women Get the Loving Kick?
Nichol: I think we often hear about practical support, but women are less likely to get the loving kick. The divorce rate has actually doubled since the 19 nineties for adults ages 50 and older. A pew study found that divorce is becoming less common for younger adults. But it seems like the older couples are still kind of locked in those traditional roles.
