The Capability Model Is About Relational Capabilities

Hilary's work focuses on four capabilities, which are health, learning in a kind of broad sense, community, but also relationships. To make change, we need to be allied to others and think about resources differently. Hilary says the scandinavian welfare state embodies what she is talking about. She believes that if people feel that this is something for everybody and that we can all benefit, it becomes very devisive.
