i think that the war on christmas model of disinformation is much more pernicious and much more difficult to deal with then the sort of straightforward conspiracy, kids drinking satan's blood type conspiracies. Because everything that o'riley was talking about on his show was true. So you can't really crack down on it as misinformation. It's just taking anecdotes out of context. i don't think we've figured this out yet. And so what are the ethics of sort of cherry picking these examples that don't suit any trends? They're not actually indicative of anything. But you can find five examples of anything, anywhere at all times, and turn them into a story. Ye
