We are in the world of the hotel in the same way that he is. It's fascinating, very cleverly done. And so what happens to him then locked up in the hotel? Well, one of the things that really helps him is that he meets a little girl, Nina, who is living there. That's Nina. She becomes a friend and she has a key which opens all the doors. So he gets to know every inch of the hotel through this girl. He learns ways in which he can hide or escape or not escape out but escape within the hotel so that people don't know where he is. The upheaval of society outside the hotel, which is obviously going on.
