The Importance of Perfectionism in Creative Writing
When you have kids that's also a time when you realize you have to unlearn things. I think the process of creating something and making something is a form of capitulation. You have to accept that it's not going to be this perfect shimmering gem in your head. That has seeped into other areas of my life so I don't necessarily feel like everything has to be perfect all the time. It's about learning how to kind of manage it.
