A beauvis is at pains to show the micro politics of gender relations. She argues that girls and women learn very quickly, both at conscious and unconscious levels, how to become women. Who conform to patriarchal isa, they bcome the second sex, the moon to the sun and the dark. They become relative to the masculine universal subject. This has to be learnt rather than exactly, as Vauvois rases something in her book 'Lived experience'
