Introduction

Mark Anderson is an associate professor of cultural anthropology at UC Santa Cruz. His first book, Black and Indigenous, Garifuna Activism and Consumer Culture, Nonduras, was published by the University of Minnesota Press in 2009. Mark has kindly joined Lachlan Summers to discuss from Boas to Black Power racism, liberalism and American anthropology.
