The Role of Patents in Innovation

Abbeynd: We don't have patents for the sake of patents. The patent system can play a role in all of those features. It's extraordinarily important that the public understand how the patent system is impacting them, says abbeynd. And we just need to be able to find mechanisms to make sure that policy makers know what our experiences are and feel like they need to listen to us.
