The c b has taken their deposit rate above zero for the first time since 20 twelfth. And it's no wonder that the european bank stock index is down 75 % plus from its hight of 20. Seemingly every day this week there was another european smelter that was closing, orore were limiting capacity because tey they couldn't make money at current levels of natural gas and power preces.
