How to Give Someone a Flaw That Makes Them Likeable

I always say look for points of conflict in your story and that is where you put your characters. Then justify the characters reaction to that conflict with a flaw that maybe is just now surfacing. One great way to deal with this I think is to have the flaw be something that a villain can exploit. You're also then giving the hero a chance to grow because they're providing a weakness, which helps them overcome their problem.
