Is There a Silent Majority in Iran?
Professor Zabakhalam makes an interesting reflection on the assassination of General Soleimani by the US three years ago, a revered military leader in Iran. The leadership he suggests thinks that that support that you saw then still exists for the regime. Do you think that perhaps there is a silent majority that perhaps doesn't want change? Is frightened of change? I think we should assume and it's clear at this point that the majority in Iran do want a fundamental political change,. Whether the majority support that change at any means necessary is a different question.
